Yellow Dixie Cup PAX Mask
This drop-down (or plug in) yellow passenger mask is approved for use in pressurized aircraft/airlines for depressurization emergencies. While it looks like the constant flow rebreather masks discussed elsewhere on this website (with its rebreather bag), it functions differently.
It is a phase-sequential oxygen flow mask which uses a series of one-way ports allowing a mixture of 100% oxygen and cabin air into the mask.
Exhalation is vented to the atmosphere; as a result, the bag does not always inflate.
